Both minutes were unanimously approved (7-Yes/0-No). (Dan Lintz arrived after this vote.) OLD BUSINESS ( CCR 01/03-02 Change SOC 220 Perspectives on Leadership from a CR/NC course to a graded 3-unit course that fulfills state requirements. The Curriculum Committee was generally in favor of the course, but there was discussion about the requirement of submitting a complete assessment plan. It was decided that after the assessment plan is re-written, it will be e-mailed to each member for approval. After comments/approval by each non-voting/voting member of the Curriculum Committee, the final version will be submitted with the Curriculum Change Request forms. Mark motioned; Bob seconded for approval of this course. The vote was unanimous (8-Yes/0-No). ( CCR 01/03-06 New Leadership Minor. In principle, the Curriculum Committee agreed with the addition of this minor to the curriculum. Mark motioned that the Committee recommend that Ren Viargues and Steve Stover work with Paul Leyda to put together an integrated proposal. The appropriate courses need to be identified for the catalog description. Bruce seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous (8-Yes/0-No). NEW BUSINESS ( CCR 03/03-01 and CCR 03/03-02 LAN 120 Chinese I and LAN 125 Chinese II New Courses. The Curriculum Committee expressed approval of the new courses but asked that the assessment plans be re-written. They will be e-mailed to each member for approval and the final version will then be submitted with the Curriculum Change Request forms. Ryan motioned for approval of both courses; Bob seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous (8-Yes/0-No). ( CCR 03/03-03 and CCR 03/03-04 HUM 105 Spanish I and HUM 205 Spanish II Revision of Existing Courses. Change the course designations from HUM 105 Spanish I to LAN 110 Spanish I and HUM 205 Spanish II to LAN 115 Spanish II. This change will show the expanding language opportunities at CMA. The assessment plans need to be re-written. They will be e-mailed to each member for approval and the final version will then be submitted with the Curriculum Change Request forms.
