The Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) recently announced that Keelhaulers Kyle Collins, Ben Louttit, Julia Mast and Clay Myers have earned 2022-23 All-Academic accolades.
The ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes juniors and seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in seven regattas (2022-2023) and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. According to ICSA, this year a total of 277 impressive student-athletes across the nation have been named to the team.
The 2022-23 Keelhauler quartet joins Paige Johnson (2008-09) as members of the ICSA All-Academic program.
Cal Maritime's sailing team will compete in a pair of regattas this weekend: Dingy cadet-athletes will head to Redwood City to compete in the Top-9 Invite, and the offshore team will race in the Great Pumpkin Regatta, hosted by the Richmond Yacht Club, to prep for next weekend's Kennedy Cup. Cal Maritime will enter that offshore event, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy, as two-time defending champions.
