Joining the Corps of Cadets
The corps is an undergraduate experience at Cal Maritime which is designed to intentionally create a lifestyle to develop leadership skills. All undergraduates enrolled at Cal Maritime are eligible to join the corps program with certain restrictions.
Joining the Corps
Opportunities to join are reflective of your student status:
- New/Transfer Students: Completed during admissions process. Do not complete this form.
- Returning/Continuing Students: Students may only opt in to the Corps of Cadets by the first day of instruction per semester. If a student does not opt in before the first day of instruction, then they must wait until the start of the next academic semester.
Leaving the Corps
A cadet who is not required to be in the corps due to academic requirements may elect to leave the corps at any time This is done by notifying the Office of CLD in writing. The effective date would go in effect upon confirmation of receipt by the Office of CLD.
Confirmation
Submission of this form does not serve as a confirmation of membership into the corps. Your responses will be reviewed by the Office of Cadet Leadership and Development and verified prior to sending conformation to your university email.
After conformation, all functions as a cadet will start, including adhering to the Cadets Rules and Regulations.
