Student Billing

Student Financial Services is responsible for the billing and collection of student charges, and other campus services such as parking permits and disbursing refund and payroll checks.

Current Cal Maritime students can see their account summary online. Changes to your tuition and registration fees can be made through the enrollment process - adding a class or dropping a class; by contacting the cashier to request a change in meal plans or adjustments made to accounts for moving on or off-campus, with approval.

Billing

Cal Maritime uses Electronic Billing.  Billing statements are not mailed. Please log in today to view your statement - . You'll need your 9-digit CMA Student ID number and the last four digits of your social security number.  If you do not have a social security number, your password is the MMDD of your birth. Select "Your Account" from the top navigation bar and then select "Your Bills".  

If you would like a parent or other responsible party to receive notices, you can setup a login for them on the "" page under "Parent PINs".  Be sure to include their email address and check the box that allows them to receive billing notifications.  When a statement is ready to view, each of you will receive an email notification.

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after fees are initially charged or initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees. All listed fees, other than mandatory systemwide fees, are subject to change without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, or the Presidents, as appropriate. Changes in mandatory systemwide fees will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Sections 66028 - 66028.6 of the Education Code).

[NoteA financial services hold will remain on your account, be assessed a late payment fee of $25, and you will be unable to obtain services (including but not limited to registration) from the University until all past due balances are paid in full. ]

Financial Aid Refund Check

Student Refund Checks are not available for pickup at the Cashier's Office.  If you are NOT set up for direct deposit, a financial aid refund check will be generated whenever left-over financial aid funds need to be refunded to you.  Cal Maritime STRONGLY advises its students to sign up for direct deposit because we cannot guarantee a refund check delivery date. The Student Accounts Office requires a 2 week waiting period before a check can be reported as "lost". Replacement checks will take an additional two weeks to receive.

***Direct deposit is highly recommended. To avoid unnecessary refund delays, sign up for Direct Deposit from your Student Center page.
