Working Remotely Quick Reference Guide
Gaining Access to Your Voice Mailbox
- Call (707) 654 1300
- If necessary, press * or any other key that your CallXpress system require.
- If prompted, enter your subscriber mailbox number
- Enter a security code (or the default code, if your administrator has given you one)
Note: You can request having your voicemails sent to your email by contacting helpdesk@csum.edu. You voice mailbox will still fill up so you will need to check it periodically and delete old messages.
Set up call forwarding
The following option will allow you to manage call forwarding without helpdesk assistance upon returning to the office.
- Scroll to choose Send All Calls
- Press Select or the corresponding line button to activate the feature
- Activating call forwarding
- Gain access to the Features screen
- Scroll to choose Call Forward
- Press Select or the corresponding line button
- Enter the destination number to which you want to forward your calls
- Press Enter
- After you enter the forwarding number, you hear a confirmation tone
The alternative option is to contact helpdesk@csum.edu to set up indefinitely call forwarding and will require helpdesk assistance upon return to the office.
Set up GlobalProtect VPN
If this is an IT managed PC please email helpdesk@csum.edu requesting the client be installed remotely.
If it is a personal device the user can follow these instructions:
- Visit
- Login using domain\username (Ex. Maritime\jtolson and Cal Maritime Password)
- Following successful authentication select the appropriate installer:
- Windows 32 bit OS needs to download and install Windows 32 bit GlobalProtect agent
- Windows 64 bit OS needs to download and install Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent
- Mac OS needs to download and install Mac 32/64 bit GlobalProtect agent
- Install the software. (Please accept the executable if prompted)
- When prompted for your GlobalProtect address is gp.csum.edu
- Login using domain\username (Ex. Maritime\jtolson and Cal Maritime Password)
