Summary of Major

Semester-by-Semester Curriculum - BS + USCG License

Fall 2023 applications will be available from October 1, 2022 through August 1, 2023, at .

Spring-term applications are not accepted for this major.

Students with any number of college transfer units can be admitted. Note that only the first 70 community college semester units (105 quarter units) can be used toward the total needed for graduation. Any remaining community college units can fulfill specific requirements but not add to the total number of units required for graduation.

All transfer students should plan to spend at least four years at Cal Maritime completing this degree regardless of the number of college units transferred in from other institutions. Transferred courses can, however, reduce the number of courses required in individual semesters allowing time for study in remaining courses, for an academic minor, or for student employment.

If you have a question about a specific course that you have already taken or are considering taking, just send us an e-mail to admission@csum.edu with the course name and title.  We can look it up for you and give you an evaluation. You can also ask something like "is it course A, B, or C that satisfies your requirement?
