 Summary of Major

Semester-by-Semester Curriculum

Spring term applications will be accepted starting August 1st each year.

Fall term applications will be accepted starting October 1st each year.

Applications are available online at

Students with any number of college transfer units can be admitted. Note that only the first 70 community college semester units (105 quarter units) can be used toward the total needed for graduation. Any remaining community college units can fulfill specific requirements but not add to the total number of units required for graduation.

The time to graduation will depend on the equivalency of courses transferred into Cal Maritime.  However, transfer students should plan to spend at least two years at Cal Maritime completing this degree.

If you have a question about a specific course that you have already taken or are considering taking, just send us an e-mail to admission@csum.edu with the course name and title. We can look it up for you and give you an evaluation. You can also ask something like "is it course A, B, or C that satisfies your requirement?"
